PVB LAMINATED GLASS

Laminated glass is two or more lites of glass permanently bonded together with one or more polymer interlayers using heat and pressure. The glass and interlayers are available in a variety of colors and thicknesses which provide the desired appearance and performance to meet the relevant building code standards and customer requirements.  

laminating  glass can add other properties and benefits such as safety and security, sound control, UV protection, and color. Laminated glass products make float glass suitable for today's demanding architectural applications such as: noise reduction, hurricane impact-resistance, blast mitigation, forced entry, protection from broken glass - or a combination of these.

SGP LAMINATED GLASS

SGP is short for SentryGlas Plus,it’s proved the most stiff and most safe interlayer used in architectural glass.Compared with PVB interlayer,SGP has many advantages:

• High Strength:Under same thickness and combination,the SGP lami bearing capability is two times that of PVB lami,and bending deflection is ust 1/4 of PVB lami.

• High shearing modulus:if any breakage,the SGP can stick the glass and form a temporary structure while keeping small bending deformation,it can withstand a certain amount of load and whole piece laminated glass won’t fall or deform. 

• Extra Clear Color and super weathering resisitance.SGP yellowing coefficient is less than 1.5,usually been made into low iron SGP laminated glass to get best glass appearance. 

EVA LAMINATED GLASS

EVA has a good fluidity under high temperature,thus additional functional layers such as organic,PDLC layer can work with EVA interlayer to make  beautiful decorative glass or functional glass. EVA has good water resistance, but its UV resistance is weak. It is easy to yellow and black in long-term sun exposure, so it is mainly used for indoor partitions.

Both Saflex and Trosifol developed sound acoustic products that can increase glass STC by 3-5 Dbs.The special sound proof PVB interlayer can decrease noise and create quiet interior environment.

Acoustic Glass vs Standard Windows  

Acoustic glass often appears similar to standard double glazing. However, the design of sound reduction windows offers several special features to boost their acoustic performance and insulate against outside noise. First, the individual glass panes are thicker and the air cavity between them is bigger. This helps to reduce the resonance of loud noises and make it more difficult for sound to pass through. 

Another special feature is filling the glass units with an inert gas like argon or krypton. These gases are more difficult for sound to pass through than normal air. As the sound waves move through the gas, they lose energy and thus decibels of volume. Finally, the entire window must be carefully sealed to eliminate and prevent any spaces or gaps between the wall and frame.  Otherwise,  this creates problems with both soundproofing, and condensation.
